GENERAL BIO

 

ACSM and ACE Certified Personal Trainer Ken Alan is “LA's Fitness Guru” according to LA Weekly.  Clients have included Jodi Foster, Priscilla Presley, Sylvester Stallone, and Barbra Streisand.   Ken is seen in 8 exercise videos including the Time-Life Medical series hosted by former U.S. Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop.  Ken designed and choreographed 7 videos for Richard Simmons.  

Formerly Director of Employee Fitness at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for 8 years, Ken is a lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology at California State University Fullerton.  He has written articles for Oprah, Shape, Weight Watchers, Men's Journal, Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, American Fitness and Longevity.  In 1986, he produced the first music album designed specifically for exercise.  His AeroBeat Music Company now has a library of over 45 CDs, DVDs and home-study courses.  Ken has traveled extensively motivating thousands to become more active through his fun, playful approach to movement.  An IDEA Instructor of the Year recipient, he is also a spokesperson for the American Council on Exercise and Contrex Mineral Water.
