GENERAL BIO
Ken Alan is “LA's Fitness Guru” according to LA Weekly newspaper. As an ACSM and ACE Certified Personal Trainer, his clients include Jodi Foster, Priscilla Presley, Sylvester Stallone, and Barbra Streisand. Ken is seen in 8 exercise videos including the Time-Life Medical series hosted by former U.S. Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop. Ken designed and choreographed 7 videos for Richard Simmons. Formerly Director of Employee Fitness at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for 8 years, Ken teaches in the Department of Kinesiology at California State University Fullerton. He has written articles for Oprah, Shape, Weight Watchers, Men's Journal, Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, American Fitness and Longevity. In 1986, he produced the music album designed specifically for exercise. His AeroBeat Music Company now has a library of over 45 CDs, DVDs and home-study courses. Ken travels internationally teaching people how to make exercise effective and enjoyable, and he's known for his fun, motivating workouts. He has received IDEA's Instructor of the Year award. Ken is a spokesperson for the American Council on Exercise and Contrex Mineral Water.
